Who  am I?

If we live the lives we are supposed to, the only thing that should keep us up at nights is one single telling dream and not our conscience. I wake up every day with a vengeance to be better than the person I was yesterday. And I often contemplate about my legacy. I am reminded of a song I sang in my high school choir, that rings in my ears far too often like a loud siren. Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful, May the fire of our devotion light their way, May the footprints that we leave, Lead them to believe, And the lives we live inspire them to obey.

This recurring image always gives me a reality check, because in life we often get so caught up in just doing that we forget our purpose. I write my history everyday and I am happy to wear many hats. I value the fact that I am a multifaceted, talented, resilient individual who has been through many obstacles in life but still rises through it all. So who am I?
